A 27-year-old veterinarian is dead after being mauled to death while providing medical care in a pregnant female's enclosure at the Shivamogga zoo. Dr Sameeksha Reddy, who was recently recruited on contract basis from Bengaluru had entered an area of Tyavarekoppa Lion and Tiger Safari when she suffered serious injuries following attacked by hippopotamus that killed her instantly during routine health check late Thursday night in Karnataka state forest department facility where inquiry has been ordered into incident.
