Spanish entrepreneur and former president of the Catalan football club, who served as interim leader before Laporta took over during his 2013 transition to democracy after Franco died on March 7th (Elcorreo), passed away today following a heart attack at age eighty-five while hospitalized with pneumonia in Barcelona. His funeral is scheduled for Thursday morning and will be attended by family members, friends from the hotel industry where he worked since before World War II who were involved during his presidency of FC Barça between March 2013 to July 2014 (Okdiario).
