Iranian state media confirmed that spokesperson for Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), General of the Army Major-General Seyed Qasem Soleimani, was killed in an airstrike launched by Israel and/or United States on Friday. The attack targeted a senior military official who had been actively involved with US-Israeli operations against Iranian forces since March 12th when he announced that Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) would launch attacks across the region if necessary to defend its interests in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen.
