North Korea-China resume passenger train service after six-year hiatus with first run

China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea have resumed regular north-south rail transport for passengers following a historic gap, marking their inaugural joint journey since 2017 on March 8th at exactly midnight Beijing time (UTC+9). The train departed Pyongyang heading toward Dandong in Liaoning province after completing an approximately twenty-two-hour transit that included overnight stops.
